Three deputy commissioners among 6 IAS officers shifted in Punjab administrative reshuffle

The reshuffle in Punjab covers key districts of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot, besides changes in administrative departments.

In an administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has transferred six IAS officers, including three deputy commissioners. The reshuffle covers key districts of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot, besides changes in administrative departments.

According to orders issued late on Tuesday, Vishesh Sarangal, Chief Administrator of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), has been posted as special secretary and director in the Department of Good Governance and Information Technology. He will also handle the additional charge as chief executive officer of the Punjab State e-Governance Society.

Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, who had led extensive relief and rescue work during the recent floods in Amritsar, will take over as the new chief administrator of the GMADA.

Dalwinder Jeet Singh has been appointed as the new deputy commissioner of Amritsar. Aditya Uppal will take over as the deputy commissioner of Gurdaspur, while Palavi has been posted as the deputy commissioner of Pathankot. Palavi will also hold an additional charge as the commissioner of the Pathankot Municipal Corporation.

Harpreet Singh has been appointed as an additional secretary in the water supply and sanitation department, along with the additional charge of the power department.
