Thieves stuck at an apartment in Pushpak Housing Society in Sector 49 and decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh on Sunday night. The house is owned by Saurabh Dixit,who is employed as Area General Manager with a local courier company. There was no one in house when the thieves incident took place.
On Saturday,Saurabh along with his family went to see his brother in Sector 27 and stayed back for the night. The incident came into light when one of their neighbours found the front door lock of their house broken. They informed Saurabh,who called up the police.
The thieves had broken open all the cupboards and ransacked the whole house. They took six gold rings,two gold necklaces,four gold bangles,10 gold earrings,on gold chain,four silver anklets,one silver plate and two silver bowls.
They also took Rs 2000 in cash. The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) team took some samples for examination. The police have registered a case.
