Tarunpreet stars in MCA Mohali win

Buoyed by a superb all-round performance from Tarunpreet (23 and 2 for 3),MCA Mohali beat Banyan Tree School Academy by 19 runs in the First Lal’s Cup Cricket Tournament for Under-14 being held at BTS Cricket Academy,Sector 48,on Tuesday.

It was BTS Academy who elected to field first after winning the toss. Though MCA Mohali batsmen could not free their arms due to some superb bowling from the BTS bowlers,they managed to score 123 runs. Shubham Arora was impressive in his bowling spell as he scalped four wickets while giving away just 13 runs. Honey supported him well from the other end and returned with two wickets. Tarunpreet emerged as the top scorer for MCA Mohali with 23 runs off 29 balls. Nirmal chipped in with useful 18 runs.

In reply,BTS Academy were bowled out for 104 in 19 overs. Shubham Chan top scored with 30 off 35 balls. Tarunpreet took two vital wickets and gave away only three runs.
