Students collect money for infant with cancer

NavSankalp,a student-run charitable organisation of DAV College,Sector 10,donated Rs 10,000 for the eye implantation of a year old girl,who was suffering from eye cancer.

NavSankalp,a student-run charitable organisation of DAV College,Sector 10,donated Rs 10,000 for the eye implantation of a year old girl,who was suffering from eye cancer. The money was given to the child’s parents,in the presence of college Principal B C Josan.

Fourteen-month-old Jubaria hails from Saharanpur. Her father,who works as a labourer,could not afford the operation expenses. NavSankalp that was formed seven years ago aims to donate funds for the treatment of chronically ill children below the age of 14 years,who cannot afford treatment.

Organisation president Rupal Singh and General Secretary Piyush Sindhwani said this was NavSankalp’s second donation within a week. He added Rs 10,000 was earlier donated to Deepa,who was also suffering from eye cancer.
