As the rescue operation in Uttarakhand concluded, families of missing people are getting restless and have set out in search of them. Sector 56 resident Sandeep Bhatt, whose parents - Harinand Bhatt and Prabha Devi - were on their way to Char Dhaam are missing since June 16. I will be leaving for Dehradun on Friday. I will first visit the hospital in Jolly Grant,as I received information that all injured people have been taken there, Bhatt said. He added that he last spoke with his parents on June 12,when they were on their way to Kedarnath. He went on to file a complaint after he was unable to contact his parents, but he was told by the police to wait for a little longer. Now as the rescue operations have concluded and we still do not have any information about them,I can wait any longer. My uncle has already gone to Dehradun to look for my parents, he added. Pyare Dabral, brother of Prabha Devi, said that he,along with a few other relatives, was trying hard to find his missing family members. We have been in Uttrakhand for the last 10 days and have visited hospitals and relief camps in search of them, Pyare said. Shyam Lal Dabral,a priest at a Mohali temple, was part of a group of 16 people, who had visited the place. Only three have returned. He is missing along with his 12-year-old daughter,nine-year-old son, mother, father, two brothers and their wives and children from Rambana since June 16. Deepak, whose parents were also a part of the same group, said that his parents had manged to reach their ancestral house in Tehri. His mother is undergoing treatment,as she sustained injuries in Rambana after the floods. Sashi, wife of Shyam Lal Dabral who saw her family members being washed away,is recovering in Tehri,at her sisters house. Anil Dabral,Sashis brother in law, said when Sashi reached his house, she was in a state of shock. We have taken her to the hospital thrice. She told us that on June 16,the hotel owner at Rambana, where they stayed, told them that they should vacate at the earliest as the floods could hit any moment. Just when they were leaving the hotel, heavy rain swept her family members away, Anil added.
