Sector 25 Navodaya Vidyalaya to be India’s first to get ‘smart’ classroom

Navodaya Vidyalaya,Sector 25,has been given time till July 20 to finish up the work of painting of the classrooms as per the Samsung design. Samsung has asked to provide the cup board in each classroom for safe locking of devices after use by the students. According to the company,the vidyalayas need to arrange charging points for each laptop in the classroom with the tables. Also,the windows and the entry doors of the classroom are to be given extra iron grills for safety measurement. The grill iron should be good quality with proper colour.

According to Santosh Sharma,the Samsung ‘smart’ classrooms will be utilized by all the teachers,class wise on the rotation basis. The classes will get an opportunity to get academic instruction through smart board and as well as application of laptops. After the completion of the work,Samsung will organise a training programme for all the teachers well versed with computer application,here in the vidyalayas itself.

“The ‘smart’ classroom will definitely provide a major boost to the students because these days every student has become tech-savvy. Adding technology in courses will have a positive impact on students’ behavior,” added Sharma.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Superintendent said,“The work that has been allotted to us will be done within this week. Then only,the company will send the equipment.”
