A two-day State Bank of India (SBI) Carnival was inaugurated by N K Chari,Chief General Manager,SBI (Chandigarh Circle) by lighting the ceremonial lamp at Exhibition Ground opposite Sri Gurdwara Sahib in Sector 34. Speaking at the function,Chari said that SBI is a financial super market and is showcasing its various products and services and creating awareness among the general public at one place for their convenience. The customers obtained all type of information for their financial and other requirements. On the spot loan proposals will be approved in principle in the carnival, he said. SBI subsidiaries like SBI Life,SBI Cards,SBI Mutual Funds,SBI General Insurance and SBICAP Securities are also displaying their products. Major car dealers of the Tricity like Toyota,Honda,Maruti,Skoda,Chevrolet,and Hyundai are displaying various models of their cars. In addition the builders and developers of Tricity like Omaxe,GBM,Sunny Enclave,Sushma Buildtech Ltd,Windcross-Royal Estate and PCL world are also participating. Some of the educational institutes also put up their stalls and are disseminating useful information to the general public. Special arrangements have been made for the entertainment of visitors especially for children. A special attraction of the event is the hourly lucky draws followed by a mega draw.
