Samwartak Singh now in charge of social welfare dept

Certain coveted portfolios were shuffled among the officials of UT Administration on Monday. Sunil Bhatia,a Punjab Civil Services officer,has been made the new Director Public Instructions replacing Haryana Civil Services officer Samwartak Singh Khangwal.

Certain coveted portfolios were shuffled among the officials of UT Administration on Monday. Sunil Bhatia,a Punjab Civil Services officer,has been made the new Director Public Instructions (Schools),replacing Haryana Civil Services (HCS) officer Samwartak Singh Khangwal.

Samwartak has also been stripped of the charge of Director (Tourism). He shall be holding the charge of Director (Social Welfare) from now on.

Another PCS officer Amandeep Kaur has been designated as Director (Tourism). An IAS officer Abhishek Dev,who is presently holding the charge of Controller,Printing and Stationery,has been designated as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (East),while another Punjab cadre IAS officer Niharika Rai has been designated as Chief Executive Officer Zila Parishad. Before her,ADC P S Shergill was holding the charge of CEO,Zila Parishad.

Niharika will also continue holding the charge of Registering and Licensing Authority and look after the charge of Managing Director (CITCO) till another Punjab cadre IAS officer DK Tiwari resumes his charge after returning from election duty.

Also Municipal Commissioner Roshan Sunkaria shall be holding the charge of Chairman,Chandigarh Housing Board,during the period of election duty of Mohanjeet Singh,in addition to his own duties. Jaswinder Kaur,Secretary,Chandigarh Housing Board,will hold the charge of Chief Executive Officer,Chandigarh Housing Board,during the period of election duty of Sandeep Kumar.
