SAD to hold district-level meets in Haryana

The Shiromani Akali Dal has decided to hold district-level conferences in Haryana for the coming Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.

The Shiromani Akali Dal has decided to hold district-level conferences in Haryana for the coming Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections and a senior party leader from Punjab will be appointed as observer in each constituency.

The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the core committee of SAD and senior leaders from different parties of Haryana. The meeting was presided over by party president Sukhbir Singh Badal. Party patron and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was also present.

SAD secretary and spokesman Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said the meeting discussed SGPC elections and the current political situation in Haryana. He said the above decisions were taken to further strengthening the party in the state. The names of observers will be announced by Sukhbir shortly.
