SAD campaigns for BJP in Dasuya

Despite the fact that Dasuya assembly constituency is being contested by a BJP candidate,it is their alliance partner SAD who are seen actively and aggressively campaigning in Dasuya.

Despite the fact that Dasuya assembly constituency is being contested by a BJP candidate,it is their alliance partner SAD who are seen actively and aggressively campaigning in Dasuya. The reason for the heightened activity claim SAD leaders is to continue its winning spree till 2014 parliamentary elections.

The SAD created Punjab history by winning the assembly elections for the second consecutive time in January.

Except for BJPs Rajya Sabha member Avinash Rai Khanna,BJP leaders J P Nadda,Santa Kumar and Ashwini Sharma started their campaign just a couple of days ago. All the cabinet ministers of the SAD including revenue minister Bikram Majithia,Ajit Singh Kohar,Sarwan Singh Phillaur and senior leader like Dr Daljit singh Cheema,B S Ramoowalia have been in Dasuya for the past couple of weeks and managing the election campaign of the BJP candidate,Sukhjit Kaur Sahi,wife of late BJP MLA Amarjit Singh Sahi.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal,who will be camping in Dasuya from July 6 to 9 and has visited it twice before ever since the elections were announced on June 11,has made it a prestige issue. Both the CM and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal,who campaigned on July 4-5,have made it a prestige issue and have been campaigning aggressively, said a senior leader,who has been in Dasuya for the past two weeks.

We have not seen this much concern by the CM and Deputy CM even for SAD candidates, said a senior SAD leader.
