Rohtak ASI Sandeep Kumar suicide: An assistant sub-inspector of police posted in Haryana’s Rohtak allegedly died by suicide Tuesday, and left behind a three-page note and a six-minute video in which he has levelled allegations of corruption against late IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. According to the Rohtak police, ASI Sandeep Kumar was posted in the Cyber Cell. “Yes, he [Sandeep Kumar] is no more. Prima facie, it is learnt that he has died by suicide. We are investigating the matter, and gathering more details,” a senior Haryana Police officer told The Indian Express. An officer said Sandeep played a vital role in the arrest of Head Constable Sushil Kumar, a close aide of Y Puran Kumar, who identified himself as his personal security officer. Sushil was arrested on October 6, a day before Y Puran Kumar was found dead at his Chandigarh house. Sandeep also elaborated on how Sushil was arrested. In the video and alleged “suicide note”, Sandeep also demanded that “a probe must be conducted into the assets of Y Puran Kumar and his family members”.
