Panjab University declares holiday amid heavy rains

Punjab University on Monday, declared a holiday in campus and all affiliated colleges in light of the heavy rainfall in Chandigarh and other districts of the state.

An order issued in this regard said, ” Due to heavy and continues rain in Chandigarh and various districts of Punjab and advisories of UT Administration and state of Punjab, holiday for the 10th July 2023 (Monday) is declared in the main campus of the Punjab University Chandigarh, regional centers, constituent colleges of the University situated in the state of Punjab and affiliated colleges of the University situated in Punjab and Chandigarh.”

It added, “However, all meetings and examinations will be held as per schedule announced earlier.”

The order was issued to all heads of teaching and non-teaching departments, directors of the regional centers and principals of constituent colleges, and the principals of affiliated colleges of the University situated in Punjab and Chandigarh.
