Panthic organisations have once again given a call to organise a ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ on November 10, and this time in Talwandi Sabo — one of the five takhts or seat of temporal authority of Sikhism. The decision was part of the 11-point resolution passed at a thinly attended panthic conference organised at Talwandi Sabo Wednesday. It was also decided that until November 10, the panthic organisations will continue ‘dharam prachar’ throughout the state and even abroad to make the masses aware of the importance of Sarbat Khalsa. [related-post] Baljit Singh Daduwal, president, Gurmat Sewa Lehar, a panthic organisation, while announcing about the November 10 Sarbat Khalsa, said: “Before this, we will be organising a ‘Panth Bachao, Punjab Bachao’ march in May across the state to involve the masses with the movement. For organising Sarbat Khalsa, we have formed a 300-member committee out of which 150 will be Indians and the rest will be from abroad. This committee will be taking care of all the arrangements. We aim to make it a bigger show than the last one.” It was stated that SAD (Amritsar) and SAD (United Dal) will be part of the Vidhan Sabha elections while Panthic organisations will focus only on SGPC polls and “Dharam Prachar”.
