Punjab’s first equestrian festival is to be held on March 1 and 2 at the Ranch Forest Hills in Karoran where horses from reputed stud farms and clubs across the state and country would be participating.

Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said preparations are going in full swing for the event and preparatory meetings were held at the District Administrative Complex.
Jain said that the festival would have several events such as Horse Jumping, Ring Competitions of Marwari and Nukra Horses, Tent Pegging, All Horse Breeds Display, Heritage Fashion Show, Cultural Events, Food and Shopping Exhibitions and Expert Talk Show spanning two days, she said.
Sonam Chaudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), who visited the venue on Friday said organisers of professional horse riding competitions have been roped in to streamline the arrangements.
She also interacted with the representatives of The Ranch, Forest Hill, Deepinder Singh Brar, and Harjinder Singh Khosa regarding the arrangements being made.
The event will be conducted from 8 am to 7 pm.
