PU declares fee structure of affiliated colleges

The Panjab University (PU) has announced its decision to implement a uniform fee structure for all its affiliated colleges.

The Panjab University (PU) has announced its decision to implement a uniform fee structure for all its affiliated colleges. Two fee structures have been announced for colleges situated in the city and in various districts of Punjab.

According to the official information,the city-based colleges will charge Rs 12,300,Rs 15,000 and Rs 13,500 per annum for courses which include BA,BCom and BSc respectively. Students of MA,MCom and M Sc will now pay Rs 14,000,Rs 15,000 and Rs 15,000 per annum respectively. All the funds,charges and fees are included in the total fee amount.

In case of colleges located in the state of Punjab,students of BA,BCom and BSc will pay Rs 10,000,Rs 15,000 and Rs 11,000 per annum respectively. The fee for MA,MCom and MSc students is kept the same as that of their counterparts in Chandigarh at Rs 14,000,Rs 15,000 and Rs 15,000 per annum.

The fee for add-on courses has also been announced. While for arts and commerce streams it has been fixed at Rs 1,200 per annum,science stream students will be charged Rs 1,800 per annum,with laboratory charges of Rs 160.

Fees for self financing courses which includes BCA,BSc Biotechnology (Hons) and B Sc Bioinformatics (Hons) has been fixed at Rs 30,000 per annum.

Students getting admission in MBA and BBE will be charged Rs 25,000 per annum,while those of PGDMM,PGDPM and LW,PGDMC and PGDCA will be charged Rs 18,000 p.a.

The fees of for M Sc (IT) is fixed at Rs 40,000 per annum,while for Msc Biotechnology (Hons) and Msc Bioinformatics (Hons),the fee is fixed at Rs 50,000 per annum.
