A notice issued by professor A K Attri, Director-Principal, GMCH-32, this week stated that all remaining UT quota seats will now be filled through the institutional preference pool (IP) and admissions will be done based on the NEET PG 2024 ranks of candidates. The application window is open till April 14, for candidates who are eligible after the decision of the National Board of Examination to reduce the qualifying percentile, allowing a new group of candidates to be eligible for the third counselling round, with 35 seats now to be filled.

Those who qualify under the new percentile can submit their applications online, while those who had applied previously and meet the new eligibility rules don’t need to apply again. After the third round of counselling is completed GMCH will conduct a round to fill remaining seats, if any, as per the MD\MS admission prospectus for the current session, and a fresh process for this stray round will be announced on the website.

The notice clarifies that the announcement is to initiate the process of counselling, and after the final permission is given by the National Medical Commission and the Medical Counselling Committee, the third round of counselling will be conducted. The college has requested approvals, and once these are received, counselling dates will be announced. Details on the number of seats in various departments, links of application, and eligibility across categories are all available on the official website: http://www.gmch.gov.in.
