Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said he hoped the Haryana poll results would close the issue of a separate gurdwara panel in the state. He said though the Congress won,its tally of seats had gone down.
The move to form a separate SGPC will be opposed by our alliance partner Indian National Lok Dal and our party MLA from Sirsa, said Badal.
The CM was here to participate in the religious congregations of spiritual leaders during the Guru Puja Maha Utsav organised in the memory of Jain Pradhan Acharya Sri Sohan Lal.
He said the Haryana Government should learn a lesson from the results and refrain from raising the issue of a separate SGPC.
On being asked about the differences of opinion amongst BJP leaders here,Badal said it was their internal matter and that senior BJP leader Balbir Punj was in the state to look into the matter.
Regarding the clash between BJP MLA Anil Joshi and SSP Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, the CM said any decision into the matter would be taken only after a thorough inquiry.
