Police nab thief with stolen bike

A few hours after a vehicle was stolen from Hallomajra yesterday,the PCR vehicle of the police arrested the thief.

A few hours after a vehicle was stolen from Hallomajra yesterday,the PCR vehicle of the police arrested the thief and recovered the bike from the accused late last night.

The police arrested Akhilesh,in a case of theft after he was caught red handed with the stolen bike. Akhilesh (21) is a resident of Hallomajra. The police said he is a drug addict and was employed with a private printing press in the area.

The PCR Motor cycle was stationed at 3 BRD turn when the police official stopped the motorcycle number CH03X-8309 for traffic violation without helmet at around 8.30 pm. It was found that the Motorcycle was stolen from Hallo Majra for which a Case under section 380 of the 380 IPC was registered in police station Sector 31.

On the complaint given by owner of the motorcycle,Ravinder Kumar,a resident of Water Works,Mansa Devi Road,the accused was arrested,

“The thief was nabbed three hours after he committed the theft of the bike by the alert PCR personnel,we are investigating whether he is involved in more theft cases,” said Bakshish Singh,SHO,Sector 31 police station.
