It was still slippery when Pranav Chopra came out on the court for his second round match against Gautam Mittal in the boy's Under-12 category of the Swami Ram Tirath Total Tennis Championship held at Swami Ram Tirath School,Phase IV,on Monday. While he initially took some time to adjust to the trying conditions,he played some lovely shots to overcome his opponent 6-4 to move into the next round. Earlier,heavy rainfall rendered the match unplayable for couple of hours. But once the rainfall stopped,it was usual work for the players as they took on their respective opponents under overcast conditions. Uday Veer and Akshit Chhabra lost just one game each in their matches to completely outplay their opponents. Chhabra trounced Ravikaran Gill 6-1 while Uday was impressive during his 6-1 win over Arunab Singh. Meanwhile,Chhabra once again returned to the court,this time to take part in the u-14 category. He crushed Bhavdeep 6-0 to enter the next round. Sehaj Preet was another player who completed a bagel by routing his opponent Partham Sharma 6-0. Puru Mehta huffed and puffed as he made his way up to the next round with a 6-4 win over Jaskaran Singh.
