On spending spree,Bansal gives funds for parks,lifts,bus stops

The District Courts Bar Complex in Sector 43 will get two additional lifts at an estimated Rs 35 lakh. Construction will be taken up under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).

Local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal allocated funds for several projects in the city over the past one week. Apart from lifts in the court complex,funds have also been sanctioned for the partial construction of first floor and expansion of the existing bhandara building at PGI at an estimated Rs 20 lakh. The expansion will help families of patients visiting PGI daily.

Bansal had also released funds for the construction of a bus queue shelter at Subhash Nagar,Manimajra. Development of a park in front of police station,in Manimajra was also sanctioned. Construction of boundary wall around the Waqf land in village Hallomajra,at present under the MC will be undertaken from MPLAD funds.

A park would come up at the Chandigarh Savhitkari Co-op House Building Society Ltd. Plot No 1,Sector 48-A. Two garden huts,six benches,multi-play equipment and rain harvesting system would also be part of the development. Another park at the Super First (II) Cooperative House Building Society Ltd. Sector 48-A,will be taken up.

At village Khuda Ali Sher,the boundary wall of Dr BR Ambedkar Stadium would be rebuilt and a Dharamshala would be constructed on the vacant plot of land that was earlier used for toilets in the Ramdasia Mohalla. To ensure proper lighting,funds under MPLADS have been released for installation of CFL streetlighting on the divider of main road from Milk Colony Dhanas to Sarangpur.

A park would be developed in Sector 40 C,whole construction of additional space on Maharashtra Mandal in Sector 19 at a cost of Rs 10 lakh has been sanctioned.
