The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday issued notices to Haryana,Ambala SP and the CBI after an Ambala resident filed a petition stating that his son had gone missing. The petitioner,Harmohinder Singh,has sought court directions to hand over the investigation of the case of his missing son from Haryana Police to the CBI. The petitioner has alleged that his son Talwinder Singh (25 ),who had been working as a Professor with Modi University,Laxmangarh,District Sikar,Rajasthan has been missing since 2011.
The petitioner has stated that his son had left on October 4,2011 at 4:30 pm from his place of residence at Ambala in order to go to his place of work but neither he reached his work place nor he returned home. The petitioner got an FIR registered on October 11,2011 in Police station,Baldev Nagar,District Ambala.
Since then a period of almost one and a half year has lapsed but still the investigating agency appointed in the said FIR has not reached any conclusion reads the petition demanding CBI probe. The petitioner has alleged that despite providing evidence and clues to the Haryana Police nothing has been done.
