With the UT Administration failing to provide electricity connections the newly constructed chambers for advocates,a lower court has on April 18 summoned the home secretary, chief engineer and the executive engineer of division 9 in Sector 34.
A civil suit filed by five advocates of district courts has claimed that lawyers chambers are situated just adjacent to the court complex. In the judicial complex, there is also a special power station, which supplies electricity during power failure.
But the administration never thinks about providing electricity supply to the lawyers chambers, which is a part of judicial complex, it added.
Through the application, the plaintiffs have added that though the Administration had been requested to provide electricity to the lawyers chambers, the lawyers have received no response.
No one is ready to come up with a remedy to the problem. Everyone is just passing the buck, advocate Arvind Thakur said.
