“Jeevan is a resident of Bihar. We hired him hardly a month ago,” said R S Mittal, who is a senior advocate of Punjab and Haryana High Court. “Late at night,he said the dinner was ready. When we entered the dinning hall,he was missing.”

“We then started our dinner. The moment we were about to finish, five persons entered the dining hall and took us hostage. At that time,Asha was on the first floor, unaware of what was going on,” he added.

“While one of them along with Jeevan tied my hands with my dupatta, others threw my husband on the floor and demanded the keys of the drawers,” Sarita Mittal said. “They took us to various rooms and started collecting cash and jewellery. Then they asked for the first-floor keys, locked us inside a room and went upstairs.”

“They thrashed Asha and tore her clothes. But she managed to escape and raise an alarm,” she added. “They collected cash and jewellery worth Rs 25 to 30 lakh, but hearing Asha raise an alarm, they fled with cash and jewellery worth Rs 13 lakh.”
