Continuing with their dominance on the court,New Public School,Sector 18,thrashed DAV Public School,Sector 8,by a huge margin of 42-3 in a match in the boys section during Col. Balraj Sub-Junior Basketball Championship at New Public School,Sector 18,Chandigarh on Wednesday.

Devang (14) and Navjot (12) were the main architects of the NPS-18 boys win over DAV Public School. Till the half-time of the match,the NPS-18 team was leading 38-0.

In an another match,Vivek High School managed to beat Mount Carmel School in a keenly fought match by 34-32. For the winning team,Kanav and Aman scored six points each.

In the girls section,Strawberry World School,Sector 26,recorded a facile 49-23 win over GGMSSS,Sector 20. Somya emerged as the star for the winning team by scoring 10 points. Although Rajni scored 17 points for the GGMSSS,she could not save her team from defeat.

In the second match,St Xavier’s School registered a hard-fought 18-14 win over GNPS,Sector 36,to surge ahead. Simran scored nine points in St Xavier’s victory.
