Micro irrigation project to come up in Morni at a cost of Rs.20 crores

The decision was taken in a High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) meeting held on Monday led by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Apart from this, purchases and contracts worth more than Rs 87 crore were also approved in the meeting.

“A total of 4 agendas of Irrigation, Public Health Engineering Department and MICADA were taken up in the meeting and were approved. An amount of Rs. 1.41 crore has been saved after negotiations with various companies. The Chief Minister said that the implementation of the Solar Powered Integrated Micro Irrigation Project for villages Tapariya, Kandaiwala, Kaimbwala, Kherwali Parwala and Lashkariwala in the Morni area will not only provide irrigation facilities but also help in increasing agriculture produce in the area. After the success of this pilot project, such projects will be set up at other places in the state”, a government spokesperson said.

Indori River will be revived at a cost of Rs 20.80 crore

In the meeting, a project for the revival of the Indori River from the village of Bass Padamka to Siwari in Gurugram district was also approved. “The project will cost about Rs. 20.80 crore. Besides approval was also accorded to a project of the Irrigation Department worth more than Rs. 10 crore. Under this, V.R. bridges on the Lakhan Majra link drain will be reconstructed. In the meeting, along with the construction of two intermediate pumping stations in Adampur, the project for setting up a sewerage network system was also approved. The project will cost about Rs 34.5 crore”, the spokesperson said.
