MC chief inspects city’s preparednessfor monsoon

Municipal Commissioner Dr Roshan Sunkaria visited various parts of the city on Friday to take stock of the cleaning work undertaken by the civic body.

Municipal Commissioner Dr Roshan Sunkaria visited various parts of the city on Friday to take stock of the cleaning work undertaken by the civic body. With the monsoon on mind,Sunkaria ordered for the cleaning of road gullies in Manimajra.

Also part of the inspection team were Assistant Commissioner,Manimajra,Chief Engineer,Superintending Engineer (B&R),Superintending Engineer (PH) and Executive Engineer,Roads-II.

The link road to Mauli Jagran that has been widened on both sides is yet to be carpeted and the estimate for the same has been approved and tenders will be called in soon,said MC officials.

The work for providing paver blocks on both sides of the internal roads in Indira colony was also inspected.

A prepared estimate of Rs 96.99 lakh will be put up in the House for approval,said officials,adding that the V-5 road in Sector 31 will be widened.

While recarpetting of the V-6 road in Sector 32 has been deferred for a year,a footpath will also be provided on one side of the road in Sector 21 and Sector 23,added officials.
