A 29 year-old woman was allegedly killed on Monday afternoon after a quarrel with her neighbour over water, in Nuh block of Mewat district, around 40 km from Gurgaon. The accused was arrested within a few hours of the incident.
According to the police, it was alleged that Mubeen Khan, the neighbour, had not paid for his share for the water tanks that we re supplied to the colony. This had led to an argument between the victim Guddi and him, police said.
During the argument, Mubeen allegedly took out a knife and stabbed Guddi, killing her on the spot. He fled the scene immediately. Guddi’s body was taken to the civil hospital for post mortem and handed over to her family later in the evening.
Guddi hailed from Marota village in Uttar Pradesh. She lived with her husband in lived in a multi-storeyed house belonging to Seetaram Niwaab of ward no. 7 in Nuh since last six years.
