Gangster Kala Jathedi’s mother passes away under mysterious circumstances in Sonipat
Kala Jathedi, who is known to be a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, used to work as a cable operator and had studied till Class 12 before he entered the world of crime.

File photoHaryana’s dreaded gangster Kala Jathedi’s mother Kamla passed away on Wednesday at her residence in Sonipat under mysterious circumstances. Kala Jathedi is known as one of the close-aides of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
According to the preliminary investigations conducted by the police, she consumed some poisonous substance that resulted in her death. The manner in which she consumed the poison is yet to be clear as her relatives told the police that she “accidentally” consumed some insecticide that was lying next to her medicine’s bottle.
“The incident took place this afternoon. Her relatives visited her and found her unconscious. The police were also informed. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital where she died during treatment. Her body was taken to Sonipat’s civil hospital. Further investigations are on,” one of the investigating officers said.
Her relatives told the police that she was not keeping well for the past several months.
Jathedi used to work as a cable operator and had studied till Class 12 before he entered the world of crime. The first FIR was registered against him was in Delhi on September 20, 2004. Till date, he is facing over 30 FIRs for various heinous crimes, including murder, attempt to murder, extortion etc registered in various states.
A team of Delhi Police’s Special Cell had nabbed him from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh on July 30, 2021. At that time, he was facing a cash reward of Rs 7 lakh on his arrest. The Delhi Police had also booked him under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and he is currently lodged at the Tihar jail.
On March 12, Jathedi got married to Anuradha Chaudhary who is also known as Lady Don or Madam Minz. They couple got married at a banquet in Dwarka’s Sector 3. Minz is also a history sheeter and facing multiple FIRs against her on charges varying from money laundering to threats to abduction and under Arms Act in Delhi and Rajasthan. She is currently out on bail.
