Justice Lodha exhorts lower judiciary: Maintain dignity

“The judicial officers have to be totally impartial,independent and should attain impeccable integrity. These three are the basic qualities of a judge,which should never be compromised,” he added.

The judge said that dispensing justice was not an easy job and thus the role of lower judiciary remains very crucial and important.

“Since the litigant public directly deals with the lower judiciary,it is important to strengthen this area,which handles 90 per cent of the litigation. So it become s important for the judicial officers to maintain the dignity and integrity of the judiciary,” Justice Lodha said.

Himachal Chief Justice Kurian Joseph said that such workshops will expose the judicial officers to new tools of speedy disposal of the cases. Others who spoke included Justices RB Misra and Deepak Gupta .
