“Today, a large number of foreigners who were stuck in Srinagar were brought to the air base. They were about 30 in number,” said Group Capt. Sunil Bisht. “Here at 12 Wing Air Force Station, we are ready with food and medical supply. We are trying our best to make them feel comfortable and are arranging for transportation too.”

He added, “We are facing a lot of difficulty as there is no communication with the Srinagar air base. We are finding it difficult to communicate with the officers on the other side. However, we are trying to manage our things.”

A medical camp has been set up at the Air Force Station, where more than 150 people have checked so far.

“Most of the people are complaining about bodyaches, headaches, and upset stomachs. Some of them are still under stress. However, so far no emergency has been reported. Only one person reported of chest pain, which later turned out to be normal,” said the medical officer on duty.
