Jalalabad Sangat Darshan: Sukhbir as ‘aam aadmi’, reaches out to masses in 12 villages

Sukhbir Singh Badal interacted with the public in Mohkam Araiyan, Dhandi Khurd, Dhandi Kadim, Parbhat Wala. Sangat darshan had been organised at five villages where panchayats of 12 villages had been called.

WHILE DEPUTY Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal called Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) the enemy of Punjab during his Jalalabad-based sangat darshan, he was seen more as an aam aadmi (commoner) during his visit to 12 villages.

Sukhbir after addressing the masses was seen interacting with the villagers. He also clicked pictures with the sarpanch of Mohkam Araiyan village during the foundation laying ceremony of the village’s CC flooring.

“Sukhbir normally calls the village panchayat whenever a new work is to be started. But he preferred taking pictures with Sthe sarpanch and other villagers rather than MP Sher Singh Ghubaya, MLA Surjit Kumar Jayani and others. It was a surprise for us,” said the villagers of Mohkam Araiyan.

Village sarpanch Harbans Singh and panchayat member Hansa Singh were the ones who were standing near the foundation laying ceremony on Thursday.

Normally during sangat darshans, deputy CM addresses the masses and listens to the grievances as per the files submitted already to him. A number of times, few files are also left unattended. However, this time he was specially going to the masses and greeting them after looking at their files. It needs to be mentioned that often AAP MP Bhagwant Mann gets the foundation stone of a project laid by mason, students, electrician and otrher common
people.

Meanwhile, Sukhbir interacted with the public in Mohkam Araiyan, Dhandi Khurd, Dhandi Kadim, Parbhat Wala. Sangat darshan had been organised at five villages where panchayats of 12 villages had been called.

“Deputy CM just asked the villagers about their health. He shook hands with a few of us as well. A small gesture can add warmth in the whole programme,” said Harbans Singh, sarpanch of Mohkam Araiyan.

However, while addressing the masses, Sukhbir targeted AAP and called them as the enemy of Punjab. He stated that because of double speak by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on SYL issue, he preferred to stay away from Talwandi Sabo Baisakhi conference. He called AAP an anti-Punjabi and anti-Sikh party. Otherwise, he self praised SAD for development works done in the past 9 years.
