The average CTC stood at an impressive Rs 8.5 lakh per annum, highlighting the institute’s growing reputation among top recruiters across IT, consultancy, and core engineering sectors. The UIET is considered a premier engineering institute in north India, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
This year, as many as 325 students have been placed, with a placement percentage of 78.4. The highest CTC is Rs 24.73, the average Rs 8.5 LPA, with the top sectors being information technology, consultancy, and core engineering, attracting more than 100 recruiters as part of the placements.
“UIET has grown rapidly in the 23 years since its inception, and this year’s placement result highlights its rising strength. Strong industry linkages with Infosys, IBM, and the Bharti Group, along with the support of a vibrant alumni network, have played a key role. I am very pleased to see UIET emerging as a leading hub for engineering talent in the country,” Renu Vig, vice-chancellor, PU, said.
Sanjeev Puri, director, UIET, said that the stellar placements are a testament to UIET’s continuous efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry. “We emphasise technical depth, soft skills, and interdisciplinary learning.” Sarbjeet Singh, training and placement officer, UIET, explained that the industry collaborations and career-oriented programmes empower students to meet the evolving demands of the corporate world.
Anuj Kumar, who got a placement at Cisco, said the placement team’s support helped him get his dream job, while Khushi Jain, who Walmart selected, says UIET gave her the confidence and skills to thrive in a global tech environment. Students like Jasjeet Singh and Riya Handa credit industry exposure, rigorous training sessions and real-world projects at UIET that gave them an edge during the recruitment process.
