HC to hear Tata Camelot project case today

Taking cognizance of the news report “9 new constructions to obstruct hill view” that appeared in Chandigarh Newsline on November 12,Punjab and Haryana High Court has referred the case to Chief Justice Mukul Mudgal.

Taking cognizance of the news report “9 new constructions to obstruct hill view” that appeared in Chandigarh Newsline on November 12,Punjab and Haryana High Court has referred the case to Chief Justice Mukul Mudgal.

The case will come up for hearing on Monday.

Newsline had carried a report on residential project Tata Camelot coming up at Kansal where nine types of residential towers would be built. There are concerns that due to the towers the concept on which the city has been developed would be damaged. It may also affect the claim of the city to get UNESCO status.

It is opined that the Capitol Complex was designed in a manner to have uninterrupted view of the Shivaliks that would be obstructed.
