Figuring among the worst state in terms of sex ratio, Haryana has decided to change the situation before the end of the ongoing financial year.
The government has put the onus on the respective deputy commissioners to improve the sex ratio in all districts.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would review the month-wise data for all districts from January.
According to the data released by the health department earlier this year, the child sex ratio in the 0-6 years age group in 2014 was 871 girls per 1,000 boys. Mahendragarh remains at the bottom at 735. The aim is to bring about an improvement in the sex ratio at birth.

The deputy commissioners would regularly monitor the activities in the districts for the purpose. The government is taking several steps for the implementation of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act.
According to officials, there has been an improvement in sex ratio in Jhajjar from 812 girls against 1,000 boys from January to September 2014 to 851 during the same period this year. In Rewari, the sex ratio at birth for September 2015 is 924, is the highest in the district in the past 10 years.
