Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, during his visit to Gurgaon on Sunday, announced that the state government has initiated the development of 10 Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) and around 7,000 acres have been registered on e-Bhoomi portal for the same.
The government has earlier revealed that fresh proposals have been invited to acquire 35,500 acres of land from owners across various districts for upcoming industrial and infrastructure projects.
Saini also held a high-level meeting with representatives of leading Japanese companies. During the session, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Honda for the establishment of a waste management plant in Manesar. Under the agreement, the state will provide land and waste material, while Honda will utilise the waste to manufacture tiles.
Discussions were also held regarding the creation of a dedicated industrial cluster for Japanese companies in Haryana. The CM proposed Naraingarh as the ideal location for this cluster, citing its strategic proximity to Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, which would enhance regional trade and connectivity.
An official statement confirmed that Saini is scheduled to visit Japan from October 6 to 8, where he will attend the Haryana Pavilion and engage with senior executives of Japanese firms operating in the state to explore new investment opportunities.
