Haryana okays new scheme for cabs in NCR

The Haryana government on Monday approved the “NCR Taxi Scheme 2016” that will be implemented in 13 districts falling in the national capital region.

Equipped with a panic button and GPS or GPRS, white coloured taxis with a blue coloured strip on both sides, will be Compressed Natural Gas or Liquified Petroleum Gas-driven or battery operated with seating capacity of not more than six persons. The proposal of the State Transport Department was approved by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
