Ten days after the formation of his government, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini late on Friday distributed the portfolios among his cabinet colleagues while keeping important ministries including home and revenue with him.

Saini along with his five cabinet colleagues – Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Mool Chand Sharma, Ranjit Singh Chautala, J P Dalal and Dr Banwari Lal – had taken oath on March 12 after a sudden change in the political leadership in the state. Then, the BJP leadership had replaced the then Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar with Saini while snapping ties with the JJP of the then deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala.

In its cabinet expansion, which took place on March 19, the Chief Minister had included eight more colleagues—one cabinet minister (Dr Kamal Gupta) and seven MOS (independent charge)—while filling all vacancies in the ministry.
