Formidable Chandigarh drub Yamunanagar

Buoyed by Guntashveer Singh's 74-ball 69 and Karan's clinical spell (5 for 25),Chandigarh recorded a fine 68-run win over Yamunanagar.

Buoyed by Guntashveer Singh’s 74-ball 69 and Karan’s clinical spell (5 for 25),Chandigarh recorded a fine 68-run win over Yamunanagar in a match played during the ongoing Haryana Inter-District cricket tournament for U-25 at GMSSS Ground in Sector 19,in Chandigarh on Wednesday. Batting first,the Chandigarh team scored 192 runs in 37 overs. Guntashveer was on a roll as he smashed five boundaries and six huge sixes during his knock of 69 runs,to propel Chandigarh’s total. Apart from him,Jeetender Kumar (42) also played a good knock. Navdeep Boora chipped in with a useful knock of 26 runs while batting down the order. For the visiting team,Prince bowled well to bag three wickets,while Ajay Kumar and Anurag picked up two each. Karan bowled a brilliant spell for Chandigarh and took five wickets. The visiting team were all out for 124 runs in 30.5 overs. Vaibahv scored 33 runs for Yamunanagar.
