Narrow escape for Bhupinder Hooda as his car meets with accident
According to the Congress leader’s close aides, Hooda was on his way to attend a function in Hisar's Giraye village to honour boxer Saweety Boora when the vehicle rammed into a nilgai.

Haryana Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had a narrow escape after the Toyota Land Cruiser in which he was travelling met with an accident in Hisar Sunday. Hooda and other occupants of the vehicle escaped without major injuries.
According to the Congress leader’s close aides, Hooda was on his way to attend a function in Hisar’s Giraye village to honour boxer Saweety Boora when the vehicle rammed into a nilgai.

The impact of the accident triggered the deployment of the two front air bags of the luxury SUV. Hooda then shifted to another vehicle in his cavalcade and proceeded with scheduled programmes.
“He (Hooda) is fine and attended scheduled programmes. The vehicle got damaged but all its occupants are unhurt. Hooda is currently attending a wedding function of one of his close aides,” the former CM’s media advisor Sunil Parti said.
Later, Hooda also tweeted about the incident. “Vehicle met with an accident, on way to Hisar. With God’s grace and all of your best wishes, I and my staff are safe. Going to participate in other scheduled programmes during the day,” he wrote. As Hooda’s accident news spread, CM Manohar Lal Khattar also called Hooda and spoke with him, on phone.
