Five-man Govt Teachers’ Union panel visits GSSS-45

A five-member action committee formed by the Government Teachers’ Union visited Government Senior Secondary School,Sector 45.

A five-member action committee formed by the Government Teachers’ Union visited Government Senior Secondary School,Sector 45 (GSSS-45),where the incident of stabbing of a school student had taken place. The panel members took details of the incident from the teachers and staff members. Firoz Khan,a student of Class XI,had been stabbed after a group of 15 to 20 assailants had entered the school on Thursday and attacked him. The attackers were armed with knives,sticks and swords.

The teachers expressed concern that there was no security guard deployed at the gate and felt there was a threat to their lives. They apprehended a repetition of such incidents. The committee placed its report at the GTU Executive Committee. It was decided that a delegation of teachers would meet the Director Public Instructions on Monday.
