Mobile internet and bulk SMS services have been restored across Haryana’s Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts, almost two weeks after they were suspended in the wake of the farmers’ “Delhi Chalo” agitation.

These services were first suspended on February 11 and later extended on February 13, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 21.

In the latest order issued on February 23, the suspension of mobile internet services, bulk SMS (excluding banking and mobile recharge) and all dongle services, etc., provided on mobile networks except voice calls in these seven districts was extended till February 24 (23:59 hours). A senior officer of the government told The Indian Express Sunday morning that these services have now been restored in these seven districts too.
