Dheeranush enters main draw

With an emphatic 8-2 win over Mohak Bajaj in the third round,top seed Dheeranush Singh Bhatti made sure he was well set to begin his campaign in the Under-14 category as he moved into the main draw of the AITA Talent Series held at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association Complex in Sector 10 on Sunday.

With an emphatic 8-2 win over Mohak Bajaj in the third round,top seed Dheeranush Singh Bhatti made sure he was well set to begin his campaign in the Under-14 category as he moved into the main draw of the AITA Talent Series held at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association Complex in Sector 10 on Sunday.

Earlier,Dheeranush had routed Atul Sri Patel 8-0 to record a comfortable win.

Meanwhile,Surya Pratap Singh of Uttar Pradesh got the better of Koonwar Gupta of Delhi 8-6,while Allen Johnson outplayed Waiga 8-1. Similarly,Dhruva Arya defeated Shivwansh Salwan 8-4,while Lavish Nehra scored a hard-fought 8-7(6) win over Kashish Kalra.

Unseeded Abhijeet Singh also played some superb tennis to enter the main draw. In the boys’ Under-18 singles,most of the seeded players made it into the main draw.
