Former finance minister Manpreet Badal said people of the state needed good governance and a corruption-free system,adding that subsidy and debt were not the only issues confronting the state.
Addressing a largely-attended gathering in Hazara village of Jalandhar under Adampur constituency,he also raised the issues of corruption and governance,for the first time after his expulsion from the party. He appealed to his supporters to reach Amritsar in large numbers on November 14,cautioning that the government might create hindrances. He also addressed a packed hall of the District Bar Association.
Taking a dig at Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal,Manpreet said he was giving wrong information to the masses that my stand was anti-poor and I am against subsidies and other welfare schemes. I have never expected such misinformation campaign by the party president, he said.
