Contractor in dock for installation of chlorinators at Mauli Jagran writes to councillors

A contractor,who was pulled up for anomalies in installation of chlorinators in 2009,wrote to all the MC councillors clarifying that his agency was not responsible for the chlorinators that were installed at Mauli Jagran,where several deaths were reported due to diahorrea.

The issue of contaminated water leading to deaths was discussed at the meeting of the General House,recently,where anomalies were found in the installation of chlorinators. Another issue that was raised was supply of contaminated water to Mauli Jagran that led to several deaths,a few months ago.

The contractor has attached photographs of the chlorinators that were installed,along with the photographs of their chlorinators. Councillor Saurabh Joshi had in the MC House raised questions about the installation of chlorinators at tubewells in different sectors. It was alleged that due to the non-functional chlorinators,water being supplied was not clean.
