Accusing both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress of selling the states vital interests to outsiders, the Himachal Pradesh unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Tuesday advised leaders of both parties to stop the blame-game over the issue.
The party alleged that the BJP as well as the Congress had patronised the corporate sector, landed estate mafia, private university entrepreneurs, and big business houses in domains ranging from cement production, hydro power generation to eco-tourism projects. In this sell-out a trinity exists comprising of the big business-politician-bureaucrat nexus that acts as a facilitator in such deals, said a member of the partys state secretariat,Tikender Singh Panwar.
Quoting the case of IPS officer KK Indoria who was arrested by the vigilance and anti-corruption bureau for allegedly playing a key role in extracting money from a hydro-power company in Kullu district,Panwar said the officer was posted as an SP in the area by the BJP government.
Many such examples of sleeping partners, active share holders of politicians exist in private universities and real estate deals,he alleged.
