Civic body to renovate cremation grounds

The MC also decided to shape up the electric crematorium and will provide new lockers to keep the ash as the locker rooms at present are in a bad shape.

They also decided that one member of the committee would be sent to Delhi to inspect the cremation grounds in Punjabi Bagh.

He will also click photos of the cremation ground and improvements will be made accordingly.

Brig Chandpuri said: “Improvements would be brought in the condition of cremation grounds. If graveyards in other countries can be well-maintained,the same should be the case for the city.”
