Chandigarh’s 12-year-old wicket-keeper batswoman Tanya Bhatia has made it to the Zonal Cricket Academy camp (North) which will conducted at Dharamshala from June1 to 30 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. Tanya’s selection comes after tremendous domestic season both at the U-19 and senior level for Punjab. Speaking on her selection,the elated teenager who is a student of St Anne’s School,Sector 32,Chandigarh,said,It is a wonderful opportunity for a young cricketer like me. I would use this chance to the fullest and polish my cricket skills during the camp. The 4 feet 10 inches tall Tanya practices at DAV School-8 academy. She is the youngest cricketer who will attend the camp. Apart from Tanya,Punjab Cricket Association’s Harpreet Kaur (Chandigarh),Aakriti Sharma (Chandigarh),Reva Arora (Jalandhar),Kamaldeep Kaur (Jalandhar) and Praveen Khan (Moga) have also been selected for the camp.
