Chandigarh: 2 masked men rob woman at knifepoint at Dhakoli

Shashi Kanta, alias Nisha, was at her house with her eight-year-old son and around 11.30 am someone pressed the doorbell. When Nisha opened the door, she found two men were standing outside with their faces covered.

“They sprayed something in Nisha’s eyes and then attacked her with some sharp-edged weapon. She got unconscious, following which the accused entered our house and took away valuables,” Nisha’s husband Sunil Sharma told the police.

Sunil told the police that one of his neighbours had come to their house. She noticed that Nisha was lying on the floor and blood was coming out of one of her eyes.

Nisha was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital , Sector 32, Chandigarh. The family could not ascertain the loss of the valuables as the woman was admitted to the hospital and her other family members were attending to her.

Police scrutnised the CCTV footage of the society. Two men in their mid-20s were seen entering the house. The police, however, had to identify the culprits. Sunil lodged a complaint with the police.
