CBSE Results 2025: Himachal performs better than Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh

Girls once again outperformed boys, with 95.03% of the girls passing compared to 90.77% of the boys. A total of 108 examination centers were set up across the state for the Class XII exams.

Girls outshined boys in the CBSE Class X and XII results declared in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. While girls recorded a pass percentage of 98.09% in Class X and 95.03% in Class XII, boys registered a pass percentage of 96.58% in Class X and 90.77% in Class XII.

The overall pass percentage in the state stood at 97.26% for Class X and 92.76% for Class XII.

Meanwhile, students from Himachal Pradesh performed better than those from neighboring states, including Punjab, Haryana, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Haryana recorded an overall pass percentage of 91.04% in Class XII and 92.32% in Class X. Punjab recorded a pass percentage of 92.47% in Class XII and 94.49% in Class X. Chandigarh reported a pass percentage of 90.01% in Class XII and 88.50% in Class X.

According to the CBSE, 11,417 students had registered for the Class XII exam from 232 schools across Himachal Pradesh. Of these, 11,385 students appeared, and 10,561 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 92.76%.

In Class X, a total 17,204 students registered, and 17,177 appeared for the exam — including 9,516 boys and 7,661 girls. Of these, 16,706 students passed. Girls again emerged as top performers, with a pass percentage of 98.09% compared to 96.58% for boys. The Class X exams for students from 320 schools were conducted across 19 centers in the state.
