He added that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal who said that he was an aam aadmi spent Rs 44 crore to renovate his official residence in Delhi. “Similarly, CM Bhagwant Mann and his immediate family are wasting precious resources of Punjab by maintaining an unheard of security details and travelling in chartered planes. The AAP government is also anti-Sikh and they are persecuting Amritdhaari Sikhs after the Ajnala incident and slapping NSA against them without any reason,” he said.

He condemned the AAP government for defaming Punjabis in collusion with the BJP by invoking draconian acts like NSA to give the impression nationally that Sikhs were separatists.

“The track record of the SAD and Parkash Singh Badal is before you. So is that of Capt Amarinder who only misled Punjabis with false promises and Bhagwant Mann who went back on all promises made to the people,” he said.

Meanwhile, senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Sunday appealed to the electorate to repose faith in the party. Addressing a public meeting at Pattar Kakan village in Kartarpur constituency, he said, “SAD, under the able leadership of Parkash Singh Badal, granted free power facility to farmers besides ensuring 200 units of free power to scheduled castes and weaker sections of society. He introduced aata-daal, shagun scheme and old age pension scheme, whereas both Congress and AAP lied to the people and cheated them. Kejriwal has already made it clear that he is in favour of diverting SYL water from Punjab to Haryana. The Delhi unit of AAP is behaving like the East India Company. They are milking Punjab and its resources to spread its wings across the country.”
